City accommodation service : Lokaviz

This is a service that provides free access (no agency fees) to offers of accommodation from private individuals.

The website centralises offers of accommodation available throughout France. You can consult the offers from your own computer or using the Internet kiosks provided at the CROUS. At the start of the 2011 academic year, the CNOUS and CROUS network began vetting the properties offered to let. The advantage of the scheme to landlords is access to the Lokaviz network to advertise their properties to let, and for students it offers a guarantee of decent accommodation and a reputable landlord.

What are the main benefits I am entitled to claim?

Allowances from the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales, an advance of your accommdation deposit or the LOCA-PASS guarantee.
